Museum exhibition
Francesco Vezzoli’s new solo exhibition, Musei delle Lacrime, is on view at Musei delle Lacrime. The exhibition, presented by Venice International Foundation and Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, finds its roots in the site of Museo Correr itself, architect and designer Carlo Scarpa’s masterpiece of modernist display designed to host 13th to 17th century paintings and sculptures. Scarpa invented new ways of theatralizing paintings and thereby created a modern shrine for Venetian heritage.
