Museum exhibition
Nathalie Du Pasquier holds a solo exhibition at Assab One, titled in messa in scena. The show displays the evolution of the work of Du Pasquier over the last three years. A series of paintings in which the artist, over time, has inserted coloured geometric objects, similar to solid blocks, amidst the everyday objects typical of her Still Lifes, underlining the necessity of removing objects from their practical identity in order to include them in a context of pure compositional relationships. The show also features two cabins, three-dimensional objects that because of their size could be actually used. For the artist the cabin is a kind of “mental motor” that involves both sculptured geometric wooden objects and the paintings that show them side-by-side with other objects.
