Sergio Sarra (b. 1961, Pescara, Italy) lives in Abruzzo, Italy. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna at the Concetto Pozzati School of Painting.
He took part in the Biennial of Young Artists from Mediterranean Europe (Barcelona, 1987), the Venice Biennale at the Corderie dell’Arsenale (1993) in Aperto ’93, at the Italian Pavilion (2011) and the Havana Biennial (2000). He has held solo show and participated in group exhibitions at museums and institutions including the Espace Pierre Cardin in Paris, Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, MNAC in Bucharest, WAX in Budapest, Circolo Filologico Milanese, Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome, EWHA Womans University in Seoul, ESAD Córdoba, Benedictine Abbey of Propezzano, Mattatoio Museo d’Arte Contemporanea in Rome.
