Orsina Sforza (b. 1960, Milan, Italy) lives and works in Rome, Italy. She graduated from San Francesco Art institute, San Francesco, US (1979 – 1980) and then from Byam School of Art and Design, London, UK (1980-1983).
For over 25 years, she has been working as a designer, focusing primarily on luminous sculptures – “Lights” – but also on sets, costume and furniture design, and painting. In her paintings, Sforza brings to light the power of the most common things, abandoned or hidden, encountered by chance, addressing their manipulation and metamorphosis through painting.
