Filippo Bisagni is a visual artist who lives and works in Milan, Italy. His artistic research mostly focused on the relationship between virtual images and physical reality, and his practice consists of restoring a new physical dimension to virtual images, giving them a status of concreteness within the dynamics of reality. Between 2009 and 2011, he worked as assistant director at the Piccolo Teatro di Milano, Italy.
In 2012, he took part in the project AND… AND… AND as part of dOCUMENTA (13). In 2014, Bisagni made his first solo exhibition at Il Crepaccio, Milan, Italy, curated by Barbara Meneghel. In 2015, he was selected for the artist’s residency at Spinola Banna, Turin, Italy. In 2018, Bisagni participated in the exhibition That’s It, curated by Lorenzo Balbi at MAMbo, Bologna, Italy. In 2019, he took part, along with Tourmaline and Sasha Wortzel, in the show “Stonewall Inn” curated by Samuele Piazza at Circolo dei lettori in Turin, Italy.
Since 2017, investigating a meaningful theme within his practice, he started to work as an exhibition designer at institutions such as the Collection Lambert in Avignon, the Centre Pompidou, and the Musée d’Orsay in Paris. In 2020 he has been selected for the Master Arts visuels -European Art Ensemble directed by Stéphanie Moisdon at the l’Écal –Ecolecantonale d’art de Lausanne.
