“All the moments spent painting in the studio this winter were precious. The work has changed, the first abstract paintings post still life have transformed. I left alone the plane on which the volumes were placed. I believe the new paintings relate more to space, they are more abstract. The cabins?
They are objects that, due to what is painted on them, modify the perception of the space where they are placed. I like that they are very large, larger than the paintings, and that they possess a volume and forms that create a kind of perceptual shift. The cabin for APALAZZOGALLERY combines the painting on the outside with a monochrome installation inside, something noisy outside and something silent inside.”
