The exhibition, titled Dipinti, disegni e fotografie, features a selection of photographs, paintings and drawings by the Swiss artist. The work of Philipp Keel in fact takes on a multitude of forms linked to various media – from photography, both analogical and digital, to drawing, painting, books and publishing work. All these aspects of his artistic practice feed off one another in a continuous interplay of references, assonances and reciprocal influences. Keel works on series, often starting from a title, and in many cases develops the same theme over a number of years. Nature, bodies, faces, architecture, interiors and still-life imagery are just some of the subjects of his work, which Keel renders through luminous and intense images, celebrating the pleasure and the beauty of objects, insisting on their aesthetic quality and the consistency of their visual form.
